Members are able to buy culturally appropriate food, fresh fruit and vegetables and essential items at a heavily reduced price thus helping them to manage their budgets and move out of food insecurity with dignity, and reduced isolation. There is a further reduced rate for Asylum Seekers with no recourse to public funds.
The Pantry takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing by offering advice, classes and activities to promote healthier life choices such as adapting traditional cultural meals into healthier versions with less fat, sugar or salt, how to manage diabetes, and cooking on a budget as well as tackling social isolation and mental health and wellbeing.
